This measure: | | Number of secondary employment hours worked by police officers |
Why is this measure important?
Hours worked allows for week-to-week, month-to-month, and year-to-year comparison of work volume, both with data collected prior to the implementation of the new police secondary employment system and after. Work volume is a direct measure of both implementation of the new program and the amount of new work gained (or not gained).
