This measure holds City government accountable for assessing compliance of proposed construction projects with applicable zoning rules in a timely manner.
Staff-level: not requiring action by external board or commission, and thus under the control of City employees. Design review: provides for standards to ensure the compatibility of land uses, buildings, and structures; to protect and enhance community property values; to ensure the efficient use of land; to minimize traffic and safety hazards; to ensure efficient parking layout; to minimize environmental problems; and to incorporate proper stormwater management and sustainable design techniques.
