Definitions of key terms

Code 3 Response: A response to a time-sensitive/life-threatening emergency. Call For Service (CFS) : Any request for pre-hospital medical assistance (for illness or trauma) from EMS. Response Time Compliance (RTC): the percentage of CFS responded to as a Code 3 and ultimately transported to a hospital which are calculated from the onset of the NOEMS 911 call until the arrival of the first NOEMS resource. Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD): the computer system used in the 911 system for taking a CFS and documenting all aspects of it
